HydroMotion Flying Hydrogen Boat - Sponsored by WEH
The Dutch HydroMotion team of the University of Delft has developed the first hydrogen boat and competed with it at the World Championship in Monaco. As a leading manufacturer of refueling components for hydrogen, WEH supports this great project with its product solutions for hydrogen refueling.
The HydroMotion team of students from the Dutch University of Delft has taken on a very special challenge: to develop a fully functional and hydrogen-powered boat within one year.
The team overcame this challenge and developed the world's first "Flying Hydrogen Boat".
With this development, the TU Delft students inspire the entire maritime industry and contribute to a sustainable future.
As a leading manufacturer of hydrogen refueling components, WEH naturally wanted to support such a project. Therefore, the following WEH® Products were provided free of charge to the team for the hydrogen boat:

- WEH® Receptacle TN1 H2
Another goal was to compete with this boat at the World Championships in Monaco. Although the boat was unable to take part in the race due to technical problems caused by an accident, the trip to Monaco was nevertheless not in vain.
The Yacht Club awarded the HydroMotion team with the "Next Generation Price" for this innovative and progressive project.
